Hello and Welcome!
Lisa Shanahan is a writer of picture books and fiction for young people. She loves moon-gazing, making up words, mint slices, mock orange blossom, black cockatoos, shouts of unexpected laughter, the weight of a scruffy dog resting on her knee and hot cups of tea. She feels incredibly grateful for the splendiferous magic of books. For all the ways stories, starting tiny as seeds, grow and unfold so high and wide, she can perch in their branches, finding shelter and shade.
